IT has come to light during legal proceedings against those involved in the El Ejido Town Hall corruption case dubbed ‘Operation Poniente’ that funds were diverted to Costa Rica by, Juan Antonio Galan.

Allegedly Galan was overheard in several conversations saying he planned to transfer money from the public services company Elsur to Costa Rica and therefore is now considered to have played a key role in this plot.
The company, Elsur, was the main source of income for the members of this network.
